Nuclear free future award
Ursula Sladek foundet the citizen’s initiative “Parents for a nuclear-free future” after the catastrophe of Chernobyl in 1986. Together with others she founded the EWS after a turbulent decade of fighting against the local energy monopolist and took over the energy distribution network of Schönau in 1997. In 2000 she became managing director, in 2009 member of the managing board of the new ounded EWS cooperative.
