The European Environment Foundation advises cities, institutions and companies in the field of sustainability.
The foundation has a global network of experienced and recognized specialists in various disciplines such as energy policy and energy economics, climate protection, institutional and political work at national and international levels, sustainable entrepreneurship, biodiversity, animal protection, human rights, education and agriculture. According to the respective requirements, the EEF can provide the appropriate expertise.
A key focus of the EEF is on consulting activities for cities and, in general, for all stakeholders involved in sustainable urban development and sustainable urban management. Currently, more than half of the world's population lives in cities. The UN assumes that by 2050, two out of three people worldwide will live in cities.
For this reason, the EEF promotes effective measures of sustainability policy in cities and supports the global Green City Movement.
