Executive chair Hammarskjoeld Simwinga

My full names are Hammarskjold Simwinga, 45 years old, with four children. I live and work in the northern part of Zambia. For the past 20 years my work has been supporting rural communities with sustainable livelihood alternatives among the households living along protected game reserves. In the recent years, i have been working with community leaders to protect traditional land that has become under threat for commercial agriculture enterprise. Last year, alone we managed to secure and protect 5,080 hectares of a pristine miombo woodlands that was earmarked for convectional agriculture. We are now working with four different communities t try and secure more land for biodiversity protection.
