Khop Narayan Shrestha is the Executive Director of MDI Nepal (Manahari Development Institute- Nepal). He is active in promoting responsible agroforestry systems in the degraded lands affected primarily through slash and burn practices in sloping hills of Nepal. Shrestha co-founded MDI Nepal in 2001. In 2010 he was a recipient of the UNEP Sasakawa Prize.
