Jeunesse Park is an ecovisionary working towards healthy people on a healthy planet. She founded Food & Trees for Africa (FTFA) and their 6 programmes that change lives and landscapes. She started and ran Al Gore's Climate Reality’s African Branch and has won several UN and other awards. Furthermore she introduced urban forestry, urban agriculture and permaculture in South Africa and lobbied for their inclusion in policy. During her time at FTFA over 4.2 million trees, thousands of food gardens and several organic farms were planted for the poor. Park initiated South Africa’s 1st carbon calculator, the Carbon Protocol and the Climate Hero Awards. She received an Honorary Doctorate from Rhodes University in 2016 for her pioneering work for the environment and community upliftment.
