Henry Red Cloud

Henry Red Cloud is a 21st century Lakota warrior, bringing green economic development to Native American communities. In 2006 Henry founded Lakota Solar Enterprises, which employs Lakota crew to assemble and install solar air heaters that save tribal families 20-30% on their annual heating costs and fossil fuels use. To expand his impact, Henry collaborates with NGO Trees, Water & People to operate the Red Cloud Renewable Energy Center, an educational facility where tribal members receive hands-on training in renewable energy – critical to sustainable livelihoods in Indian Country.
