Karl Ammann

Born in Switzerland in 1948. Hotelmanager moved to Kenya some 30 years ago moved to photogoraphy and authorship of books in the 1970s and 1980s. Become more of an activist as kept documenting degradation of ecosystems and loss of wildlife (logging and the bush meat trade) Moved to film making to have more of an impact and have now produced a half a dozen films most dealing with wildlife trafficking issues. Presently working on creating awareness on ape, rhino horn and tiger bone trafficking. These documentaries have also won a range of awards (Gensis).
