Prof. Bhaskar OBE Sen Gupta

Professor in Water Technology, Heriot-Watt University, EDINBURGH Campus. Sen Gupta specialises in community water supply to resource poor communities. His work on arsenic remediation from groundwater in the Ganges and Mekong delta has received international recognition. Apart from teaching and research at Heriot-Watt University, he is involved in setting up community water supply plants in many parts of Asia. Sen Gupta has won several environmental prizes including Energy Globe, IChemE (UK), Asia Water, Green Apple and Times Higher Outstanding Engineering innovation award. He received the title of 'Officer of the Excellent Order of the British Empire' or 'OBE' in 2012.
